I’m still waiting for the day AI finally fixes all these broken websites and services I/you/we have to use 🕰️

Just like many people promised it would 👌

📦 Moving to the US soon 🇺🇸 🥂 - so I’m selling a few things we *very unfortunately* can’t take with us.

You know… in the US, the power standard is different (something like 110-120V vs 230-240V in Europe), so some electronics aren’t compatible without bulky adapters 🥲🥲🥲

I will post it here 🔜

Every once in a while I try to make a purchase on the mobile version of the website - and nothing works 🙃

It’s an absolute nightmare. I hope their analytics will just say that customers «prefer» desktop

What if everything started going wrong the moment I stopped watching Star Wars every year… I stopped doing this about 5-6 years ago 👀🫣

I hope not!

After 1,5 years of pain and chemotherapy, my mom passed away today. I want to share this with someone, but I’m not ready to talk about it.

Just 59 years old. So unfair.

(no need to say anything please)

I almost never go to my GP (it’ll go away by itself), but when I do - only if I’m in real pain - I wait about 2 weeks for the GP appointment, and then at least another 1,5 months for a specialist (aka real doctor 😁)

There are many good things in the Netherlands, but not this one

When starting Reshaped, having a paid license kept me going but also felt wrong sometimes. I wanted to give back more to the community. After 5 years – it is finally happening. Reshaped React and Figma libraries are now open-source.

After five years of closed-source, Reshaped is finally open for all – both in React and Figma.

I’m going to have at least 4 farewell parties - one for each full year I’ve been at the company 😁
Tomorrow is the second one 🤝💁🏻‍♀️

I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished at my current company, and I feel it’s the right time to move on. I’ve sent my resignation letter - just one more month 🤝👩🏻‍💼

Will see what’s next 🪄

I learned a lot, honestly - really happy I did it. Kind of a bummer, though: they don’t give out physical cards/certificates anymore, just a digital document.

Ohsh these days have been a lot. I’m just like: 🫡🫡🫡 focusing on making it through.

And I just want to give a virtual hug to all the good people out there 🫂

Has anyone tried using a11y audits via BrowserStack in CI/CD? It seems to have quite some false positive issues, which makes me think it’s not as good as they try to market it 😕

Have you ever had a mentor at work, or perhaps a more senior colleague who shared their knowledge and experience with you?

If so, I must admit, I'm a bit envious

So. I did some traveling recently... My first stop (one of many) was Palanga.
There, I fell in love with the Baltic Sea, finally learned a bit about how to find constellations, and discovered a book written by my great-uncle 🥹

When I was a junior developer, the hardest interview question I ever received was something like:

“You have 12 hours. Describe in as much detail as possible how you would create your own JS framework and what you would add there to improve developer experience (DX).”
