Not reading much into the Jackson-Davis add (learned my lesson after Bamba). Strictly low-cost depth/insurance. He won’t play much behind CMB/Mamu, and hopefully they get Poeltl back at some point. Just odd they wouldn’t have prioritized size with that spot. Project 6-9 lives on!

This is a flawed roster but they’ve invested time/money into it and its further along than expected. There was nothing they could’ve done to drastically raise the ceiling, so might as well see what it can do in meaningful games this spring and then act accordingly over the summer

There seems to be a misconception that the Raptors failed or struck out at the deadline. They put themselves in a tough spot with contracts they’ve signed in recent years, and Poeltl's injury loomed large, but the decision not to overspend on flawed/backup bigs was an active one.
