That all depends on what part of the country you grew up in. My childhood was split between NY and NC. I can tell you racism was alive and well in NC. I learned two different versions of the civil war. The south will rise again was something to celebrate. I didn’t understand it back then.

Gen X here. Not a Trump supporter but definitely think my generation dropped the ball. Instead of kicking our parents out of Washington we continued to do everything possible to avoid them.
Most everyone I grew up with support trump. I no longer speak to them. Our morals aren’t the same.

My 19yo son died of a fentanyl poisoning in 2021. In Trumps 1st term fentanyl deaths increased. He also led the charge in dealing drugs to the White House staff. Fuck Trump.

Trumps rambling has always reminded me of my paternal grandmother. Her parents were German immigrants and she grew up in queens. She said crazy shit about ethnic groups all the time and rambled about the olden days.

And these things become routine for us. Even something as simple as leaving a drink on a table to use the restroom can be dangerous.
Then the very men who do these things end up in leadership roles announcing they have to protect us? It’s enraging.

Trump’s appearance is the epitome of unprofessional. The orange face, his crude behavior, even how he sits on a chair like a delinquent kid waiting for the principal to call their parents.

This doesn’t make me feel any better. Republicans control everything and they seem to be just fine with being hated as long as they hold on to power. That seems to be the issue. Just my opinion.

Gotta give them props for consistency in their inability to take or enforce accountability. One area they excel. Right above talking in circles using projection and deflection at a post graduate level. Only true psychopaths reach that achievement.

Maybe it’s just me but, “The pleading eyes of girls looking up for protection”, makes my skin crawl. The word “Women” is thrown in as an afterthought.
I can’t speak for all girls & women but, my daughters & I don’t need or want their “protection” forced upon us. I don’t consent.
