i don't think motivations are clear, but there's some direct involvement
not really wanting to spoil other ppl about stuff so i dont wanna go into specifics here

most of the stuff about him in undertale is really really rare events and secrets, and a few datamining/unused scenes in the files, so it's hard to know much without actively seeking it out - there's a decent bit of interesting connections, the "garbage noise" in dr is one

i watched it, it scratched an itch when i craved power fantasy slop
there's waay worse shit out there, i had a good time
