Fighter for everyday Nevadan's
Avoiding a full shutdown matters, and ending the temporary DHS funding lapse is necessary.

But a 10-day extension isn’t accountability. This is a moment for Democrats and Republicans alike to work together to demand real oversight, transparency, and accountability of ICE.

Black History Month is a time to honor the leaders, organizers, and everyday people who shaped America.

Black History is American History.

Tomorrow, Congress votes on a deal to reopen the government, including a short-term extension of Department of Homeland Security funding.

That means extending ICE’s operations.

Congress should use this moment to demand accountability, not waive it.

Transparency matters.

But transparency isn’t accountability, and it isn’t justice.

A survivor reported Epstein to authorities in 1996. The FBI was aware. No action was taken.

Files released today don’t undo that. Accountability would mean making sure it can’t happen again.

We are so excited to announce that Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblum has endorsed our campaign! @commishtick.bsky.social is a great public servant and long time leader in the Democratic party and I am proud to have his support.

In Elko today for Cowboy Poetry. Growing up on a horse farm taught me that ranching and agriculture have never been solo acts — they’re built on family, neighbors, kids, and a whole lot of shared work. That ""cow town state of mind"" still matters.

I traveled to Minnesota to listen to people in their own words after an ICE agent killed Alex Pretti.

On Friday, our Representative praised ICE on Facebook (in a post that has since been deleted). Now he says he disagrees with Sec. Noem’s “domestic terrorist” label for Alex Pretti.

Even some of the administration’s own supporters are uneasy with ICE’s tactics in Minnesota.

There’s a big difference between stewarding public lands and selling them off. One protects access, water, and communities. The other closes the gates and puts profits first. I’ll always stand on the side of keeping our lands public.

The continued escalation by ICE, the rogue federal agency, are to blame for the preventable death of Alex Pretti. Until ICE is held accountable for all the violence and mayhem they've caused, and true oversight is put in place, the Senate must not fund this rogue agency.

In less than a year under Secretary Noem, DHS and ICE have terrorized communities, disappeared people, carried out deadly violence, and treated oversight like an inconvenience.

Impeaching Noem is the first step toward accountability and imposing oversight on a rogue agency.

Please join me in Elko this Thursday morning at 10 AM at Coffee Mug!

Grab a cup of coffee with me and ask me questions or tell me what you want to see from your Representative in Congress!

This morning, ICE agents surrounded Alex Pretti, who was assisting another protestor who had been shoved to the ground by ICE, took him to the ground, and, while he was surrounded, shot him twice, fatally wounding him.

Say his name, Alex Jeffrey Pretti. Demand accountability.

Today, a man was killed while being taken to the ground by no fewer than five ICE agents, the third federal-agent shooting in Minneapolis in weeks amid escalating enforcement. The Senate cannot approve continued ICE funding without oversight.

The court extending its order stopping the administration from withholding over $10 billion in child care & social service funding is the right call. Federal funds approved by Congress shouldn’t be used as political leverage when families & service providers are counting on them.

While over half of the country braces for a record-breaking winter storm and frigid temperatures, this administration still refuses to confront what climate change is doing to our communities. Northern Nevada can’t afford that denial.
