Enshittification is fundamentally a loss of design.

That’s of course a simplified way to put this, it’s a complex problem, but it’s one piece of the game.

The design discourse had a peak and then got gobbled up by capitalistic growth hacking that found good UX not being good enough anymore.

I think it’s a bit more nuanced. It doesn’t change the outcome, but it explains why they have no dissonance:

When a group is based on the idea that some humans are worthy and some aren’t, hypocrisy isn’t a problem because it’s grounded in that same idea: “yeah of course the worthy and the unworthy are treated differently, duh”.

We need to stop being surprised the fascists have the same ethical foundation.
perfect encapsulation of what the far right is doing, they want to push the overton window as far as possible. they want to enact fascism and it’s intentional
