Excited to share about new experimental structures of the coronavirus spike protein that confirm predictions we made early during the COVID-19 pandemic! Congrats to former student Max Zimmerman and the rest of the team at Generate Bio

Science presents so many interesting puzzles! Here's a fun read on quantum mechanics

Why even physicists still don’t understand quantum theory 100 years on
Quantum mechanics depicts a counter-intuitive reality in which the act of observation influences what is observed — and few can agree on what that means.

Its time for the tech industry to introduce a new standard for cables/connectors, as I've almost switched all my devices over to USB-C😜

Our new preprint describes an allosteric glue. Here, "glue" refers to a compound that causes two proteins to stick together. Usually the glue touches both proteins but here it only has to touch one!

Too many requests for money this Giving Tuesday?

Consider giving your spare CPU/GPU cycles to advance biomedical research instead!

Here's a kinase trajectory from @foldingathome.bsky.social undergoing a DFG-flip (the trajectory is "smoothened" so atoms might look a bit funky). Stay tuned for the full work!

New work from the Voelz lab shows how biased simulations and Markov models can be used to capture rare events and then extract unbiased results.
