I hear you... I live in AB and the future looks bleak.
The problem is that the UCP knows that the province remains a conservative stronghold, and they'll likely be re-elected in spite of their actions. We're essentially running on a two-party system, and it's killing us, quite literally.

Perhaps. Even when buying a new vehicle, the price tag matters. If there are EV options for all types of vehicles, especially on the smaller side, and that the price is more or less the same than for a gas vehicle with the fee, then it would make sense.

While I haven't read the article, my first reaction to this kind of idea is that it would hit poorer people more than anybody else: buying a new vehicle, especially an EV, is not possible for many purses, and then they would get penalized for not being able to afford a fancy vehicle.
