MotaClarity After yesterday's announcement that premium brands like BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi will be removed from the Motability Scheme, the Government has now confirmed even more reforms in the 2025 Budget. Chancellor Rachel Reeves will introduce VAT on Motability Advance Payments and apply Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) to leases for the first time. These changes are expected to push up costs and will lead to higher Advance Payments for many disabled drivers.
