3/ The first image has been rendered in the so called SHO Hubble palette (mainly, SII on red channel, H-alfa in green and OIII on blue), while the second is a traditional dual-band HOO rendering (H-alfa on red channel and OIII on green and blu), closer to the look of standard broadband imaging.

2/ I devoted 7 nights to this beautiful pair: two nights imaging at the wavelength of ionized hydrogen, two on oxygen, and for the very first time three nights on ionized sulphur emissions, for a total integration time of over 58 hours, then combining data into two different versions: ⬇️

Certainly, they are the most frequently photographed and most common nebulae. If you scroll through my timeline, you'll find several of them.

Red spots are ionized hydrogen nebulae. If you refer the bright ellipses, those are other two galaxies

This one was shot with a cooled pro camera, you can find the whole setup here bsky.app/profile/flyi... and on my IG account as well. Previous shots were taken with different setups through the years, Canon 80D / 90D and 90D w/modded sensor. Lens was a Sigma C 150-600mm I still sometimes use.
Setup for this image:

ZWO ASI2600MC-P
TS-Optics AP 115/800 ED Photoline
Starizona Apex ED 0.65x L
Sky-Watcher EQ6-R Pro
ZWO ASIAIR Plus

About three years. Just sold some of my Moon projects. I also had the problem that production costs to maintain high print quality — especially for large formats — were too high, and it was almost impossible to make even a minimal margin to cover them.

Wow, is Nico your son?? Well, just so you know, I actually got into astrophotography in 2021 thanks to one of his YouTube tutorials on how to photograph Andromeda. I was referring exactly to that one! What an incredible coincidence! 😍

It’s a lousy period for Saturn because the rings aren’t visible — you need to wait at least a couple of years.😕

I tried to sell my deep-sky and Moon photos for three years, and in the end I shut down my online shop on IG and Shopify because it was just costing me money.
