Okay. I have a feeling about the auto features on this camera. It’s kind of an impediment to learning. It functions fine but the the methodology is larhely opaque. It communicates some of the information to you but without knowing what it all means and its impact beforehand its meaningless.

I did watch a lot of youtube videos about film last night after that ad to learn about what the qualities are like. I really want to shoot in Cinestill 800T for that liminal look.

I’ve started to explore my cameras advanced functions and sweet geezus there’s a lot. I was talking to the guy at the film development place about film ISOs and thought to check if there’s a setting in the manual. And that was a rabbit hole. I don’t even understand half of this jargon.

I am very frustrated with the ideas of making impractical clothing and costumes practical. Looking at cyberpunk and sci-fi clothing and none of it is for my body type. Stupid huge body.

So we know there’s an AI bubble and lots of people think it’s going to pop. The question is… how? And when/if it does burst, how will the government bailing out something that is quantifiably insolvent backfire?

It’s incredibly frustrating to me when people don’t do really basic listening. It seems to happen to me quite a lot.

When I’m at the pier I try to treat my photography a little like Pokemon Snap. Yes I can get a picture of bird, but what about Bird in Action? Rare bird? Dolphin on timed event? Low chance appearance seal?

Sorted and organized an old bag of beads I had laying around. I might make some bracelets. Not sure what to use as the band. I have some jewelry chain but it doesn’t seem quite right. Might make a few, could make like 3 that say “fuck” but I should find more ideas.

Weird idea. Apparently film prints of any size are pretty cheap. What if I got some cool pics, blew em up, and got some frames from Goodwill. Might be a thing.

I got this new lens for my camera and it’s very cool. Long zoom! 55/200. But the autofocus doesn’t work. On the plus side, manually focusing is extremely satisfying.

The guy at the film shop suggested a higher ISO film if I’m going to try and take night shots. I tried a bunch that didn’t really work out but I want to find more active reasons to take pictures.
