The pacing is bad, the kills weren't as memorable as the first movie, there's a ton of loose ends left for the third movie to clean up, and the direction they went with the Marionette is.... weird? THAT BEING SAID: I had such a blast with this movie and can't wait to see it again! 5/10

Not exactly a horror movie, but it’s directed by Leigh Whannell so… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I think it goes a little too hard on the twists toward the end of the film, but the fight choreography/cinematography was INCREDIBLE throughout. A very enjoyable cyberpunk action/thriller. 7/10

Love Corbeau and whatever is wrong with him, an absolutely pathetic wet cat of a man

The uncanny reflection of American materialism and its inherent hollowness. The way we hide behind masks rather than face the truth of the inherent ugliness of the world we created. And the desire to be free beneath it all. I have so much I could say, but holy shit. Watch this blind. 10/10

I knew basically nothing going in, but holy SHIT was this move fantastic. The acting and score work incredibly to create slowly rising feelings of discomfort and dread, and the story it aims to tell of modernized racism is rightfully uncomfortable. AMAZING end sequence too. 9.5/10

Another movie I’ve seen. It’s admittedly not as good as I remembered, but it’s one hell of a fun time regardless. A lot my appreciation for TCITW comes from how it plays into/twists generic horror movies and their tropes, and the last half hour is fuckin gnarly. 6/10

I thought it was a fun commentary on the state of slasher films of the era, though it’s definitely a bit on the nose at times. Even so, it also just holds up as a great slasher in its own right. Also Matthew Lillard is my goat and somehow still funny despite being a psycho. 7/10

This is my favorite movie of all time, and it honestly still completely holds up as one of the scariest movies I’ve personally seen. Though admittedly the older I get, the goofier Bughuul’s design/some of the jumpscares become lmao. 8/10 realistically, but 10/10 in my heart
