Just know how valuable y’all are to me, I’ve never paid monthly for any streaming service and always 🏴‍☠️ their content, but with y’all I always wanted to give a little extra because I know how tough being an artist is, especially in these times

AI could never compare to my insanity.

If I had known at the time what the “don’t harass creators” argument was about yesterday I would’ve formed my own comment differently, these criticisms are valid, victims are constantly being dismissed and ignored while their pain is amplified for shock value in media.

Don’t silence real victims

We SHOULD be allowed to discuss why this comic’s portrayal and handling of Magik is cruel, disgusting and misogynistic on all ends, glossing over it in retaliation of what happened is wrong.

Both things can be true, harassment is bad and so was what he did. Enough playing victim & pointing fingers

-than anyone is willing to admit.

Lookin’ at all the comments on twt most are very polite and reasonable callouts/complaints about the comic, ofc there was some who took it too far, but instead of focusing on WHY people are outraged we went straight to dismissing REAL victims.

So while yes, “some people took it too far”
Think about how far writers have taken their writing without repercussions, without accountability, without thinking how this is harmful to not only women but the normalization it brings viewers and the mistreatment of women. It’s far more nuanced-

Yes, threats are bad and you shouldn’t stoop to such methods, however, it’s a common in the comics industry to mistreat the women, from fridging to rape, they do not respect women in their writing, they just torture them & it’s been a long standing issue. One that I agree needs to be addressed

Magik is a fictional character yes, but things like abuse, grooming, rape, etc. the things she’s endured are very real, things women irl have experienced and woukd feel triggered by reading someone handling it so cruelly. I can understand why there is such an outrage. Let’s not gloss over this
November 26, 2025 at 9:48 PM
Harassment/Death threats is bad and so is misogynistic writing & you shouldn’t be allowed to write/manage for characters you hate if you cannot remain professional & treat them properly.

If you don’t handle heavy topics with delicacy you will be subject to criticism, not harassment.

-I think it’s within everyone’s right to address the issues that authors partake in whether it’s done with malice or with ignorance. Because while I do not believe in harassment or death threats, I do think there is no harm in bringing attention to harmful writing esp of marginalized communities.
