ENIL and the team of MEP Smiszek agreed that legislation on legal capacity needs to be in line with supported decision-making and the right to privacy. When being implemented, the Hague Convention has to be adjusted to the #UNCRPD shaped EU legal context.

🇵🇱🇪🇺Poland will not accept the withdrawal of the Equal Treatment Directive. There are efforts underway to convince the European Commission to reconsider this decision.
ENIL is convinced that this legislation is needed and will support those efforts.
