In the past two elections the AEC worker has incorrectly told me to vote 1-6 above the line instead of AT LEAST 1-6 above the line. They need to find a way to make sure this stops happening.

It’s misleading when for example the Labor Party state that only they can prevent a coalition government. With our preferential voting system voting for anyone other than the coalition would prevent a coalition government.

It shouldn’t be hard for journalists to say “x party is recommending preferences to y party” instead of “x party is preferencing y party”.

Journalism that investigates outcome of policy instead of just “what this means for [politician/party] at the next election”. No more gotcha questions. Allow politicians to change their mind (stop reporting this as a “backflip” or lie). When politicians do lie, call them out and present the facts.
