I felt bad that I FORGOT about it until I read your post. I support a different club and I was thinking “damn, what is going on with Liverpool this year?” I’m sure even the motivation to win for lost teammate can backfire. It’s just so heavy, no matter the situation.

I know it’s sad but I don’t think one should feel hesitant to mention that as a factor. I’m sure there are a fleeting few fans who would criticize the squad for allowing that emotion to impact their performance, but I reckon the majority of people understand it’s a reasonable difficulty.
