lol my new lamp arrived today and good grief does it help me take better photos and know exactly what I’m painting. Also lol, building up from a black primer is so much better for how I like to paint. Also lol started this miniature this evening and almost done?

Playing around with the new camera phone while I wait for a computer upgrade (windows 11, barf). I painted this miniature about ten years ago, wish I could still get it because I would like to paint it again having improved my painting in those ten years!

Paint is still drying and I also am not sure what I want to do for the base but I’m feeling pretty dang good re: this demogorgon (and/or demo Gordon depending on how bad the auto correct is)

Started work on the demo Gordon. Blocked in the initial colors and painted all of the green skin via successive dry brushing layers. Tomorrow night I’ll finish all the main layers, then start building up highlights

I finished up six miniatures that I had started in 2025 and now I’m ready to truly begin my 2026 painting journey. I’ve narrowed it down to three lucky contestants for first start to finish miniature of 2026. My options are: 1. Basic D&D cleric; 2. Lady werewolf; 3. Greek-esque warrior type

Unrelated to work (which sucks!) but I'm thinking about fantasy adventure games and stories (as one does) and I am so torn between dragons depicted like Smaug, highly cunning and intelligent and proud and vain, etc. and dragons that are like Vermithrax Pejorative just a terrifying force of nature

Not to try to participate in discourse here, but my big beef with the Odyssey Trailer isn't the historical accuracy even though the armor of Agamemnon is incredibly funny looking. Rather, my beef is that it's all drab brown. Where's the bright colors?
