also yes they need more cork bark and wood. I had to wait for the ecosystem to balance out before adding anything else since adding fresh soil & plant matter caused a mold bloom for a little bit. looks like it's all settled now tho! 👍 ✨

actually I'm not sure how long she'll live, they only live seasonally and die after the first frost usually. I kept one in the past for a bit longer out of the cold until she got too old and died. But I just like to give them a warm place and food up until then.

I love cat-faced orb weavers :3 I try to feed any that set up outside my apartment. Here in CO, CSU has (or had?) a Halloween "How-Big-is-Your Cat-Faced Spider" contest, to find the biggest spider. I'm not sure if it's still running annually, but I do adore the lil guys and see them around often!
