As a society now if a movie has 45 seconds of quiet dialogue people are hitting fast forward, changing to something else or zoning out and then feeling lost.

They could be stagey, because most of the early movie actors trained as stage actors. We were different back then too. Much more used to slow pace, development, story telling, letting silence speak. I saw LoA as a 13yo. Fantastic! Watched last year 😴

He’s either stopped dying his hair or has toned down the colour a lot. Definitely looking his age now. Crazy that the US has this thing about electing geriatrics.
