The first of Dark Descent's nine stories is titled Forgotten Fate after those who did not embrace God in life, so in death are doomed seek knowledge that they can never have. Left forgotten to a fate that, while not harmful, is but poor imitation of what they could've.

One of my favorite parts of writing is the amount of research I put into accuracy of both mythologies and biologies. Dark Descent, a simple zombie alien story embodies this concept in no better way then being one big Dante's Inferno allegory.
