Traditional wood products markets can only get us so far so we to diversify into the bioenconomy.

Our landscapes contain tree densities well outside the historic range of variation and well outside what is sustainabale under present and future climate. We need to look for solutions that include large-scale biomass removal.

Thanks for the clarification Aarne - I didn't see any reference to this research only applying to the situation in Finland. I do worry that your research could be mis-applied outside Finland and in places like western North America where we do have to seriously consider wildfire.
