This is your yearly spring cleaning reminder to head on over to Xcode → Settings → Components and remove all of those OS runtimes that you're no longer using!

The floors are now fully installed 🙌🙌

Fueled by loads of turkey, we’ve gotten the underlayment stapled in, and the floor installation has begun! We’ve gotten almooost half of it in. Going to install the rest of it in tomorrow!

After a few hours with the drum sander, our new subfloor is finally flush with the existing ones!
There’s still some subfloor prep to go, like removing all of the staples from the laminate flooring and filling in a few low spots. I think that’s a job for tomorrow!

Update: we eventually got the subfloor replaced! Today’s task is to sand it down so that it’s level with the rest of the subfloor…maybe flooring will be next! 😄

One of the first things I do when creating a new project is to create a SemanticSymbols struct with all of the string values so that I can have consistent symbol usage throughout the app!
Then, each time I need to make a close button, I just use SemanticSymbols.close 😄

That definitely didn’t go quite how we thought it would! 😅 We found some gnarly water damage on one edge of the subfloor, so it had to come out!
New subfloors will go in tomorrow! 😄💪

Today in home renovations: replacing the dining room floor!
This one’s been a long time coming. The linoleum floor has served well for many years, but it’s peeling up in several spots, and we’re going to make it match the wood floors we recently installed in the living room. More to come soon! 👷♂️
