First time we saw our #younghistorians begin to use LLMs/AI. Some were intrigued with the notion that when all can generate right answers, the future may belong to those who can ask right questions, separate fact from fiction, and tell a convincing story. In other words, the skills of a historian.

Thrilled to be awarded @iaphistorians.bsky.social bursary to do more research on the impact of emigrant remittances and connections on Irish society and economy. I'll be studying a fascinating cache of Reynolds family letters (ex-Mohill) from the 1860s on.
