A visit to the National Gallery of Australia to see the Dangar/Carrick exhibition and so delighted to see a Monet water lillies painting. But the surprising part was that there was literally no one else looking at this, I had it all to myself to stare at for ages.

Here’s what I’ve done so far. I’m keeping them in small chunks until the end so I can take this anywhere, otherwise too cumbersome. Anyway hopefully after all this time it’ll turn out ok.

It took me five years going through scrap bags at bargain shops to get all the right colours and baste them into hexagon cards. I lost interest in this project many many times. But they’re all collected, basted and numbered now. 539 hexies. /4
