Fascinating! On the persuasive urge to 'do your own research' - often urged in environment of distrust, can be helpful - but also connected to conspiracy theories and reinforcing existing biases.

Welcome in! I seem to remember they tell you to expect about three months. Ours was a spouse visa journey so don’t know if that makes any difference.

Par for the course for Immigration Office. Their answer is consistently ‘we can’t tell you’. Tbf the naturalisation decision was very fast for us (about three weeks). But that came after 3 visa applications over 6 years (as it has to), all of which took a lot longer. ILR is the big one, really.
