To be honest though I think if the geography was different there could be. The edges of the limestone cliffs and drops recede back for probably best part of half a mile. If the flat bits had more space and were larger I'm guessing it might have developed but I'm no geologist I have to admit.

Bizarrely enough there isn't any. Lots and lots of shelves of rock until you get to a peaty top eventually.

I know exactly where that is, in fact I'll be walking past them later. The blue sky and light and shade on that image works fabulously, it makes them look like they are sloping heavily.
