Thank you everybody! I have to start working on the difficult December fundraiser, so I'm calling it here: we successfully failed November: 2630/3000: 370 to go. But: sales were good, and no disasters happened, so we'll make it work!

Digital cameras are a real boon because yes, you can just discard the 999 mediocre pics.

Though the more you pay attention to birds, the more you understand and anticipate their behaviour, so the "waiting for the light" thing is totally possible (but also takes luck!)

Hmmm I suppose. To me, their most "look at this" feature is the funky three-toned bill, but people will latch on to all sorts of weird details. That's people for ya 😁
