saw this in a coffeeshop. despite my general niche hardware enthusiasm, something about it repulses me. like i literally have a collection of links to funky clocks and i do not want to add this one to it at all. odd.

bereal's incentive update is one of the designs i refer to most often: first, users took pictures on time to avoid shame → novelty wears off, returned to valuing good photos over "realness"→ made posting 2x good photos the reward for taking one "real" photo on time. brilliant.
