So that’s the end of my 10 day trip - solo travelling around Andalucia (Seville, Cádiz, Granada) ending with a conference in Almeria where I caught up with old friends and made some new ones. It’s a really lovely region to visit, couldn’t pick a favourite, but I do want to come back!

Excellent kayaking trip in the Louisiana swamp with @ambercopeland.bsky.social today in a short break from conferencing. Didn’t see any alligators, but it was very relaxing and my personal highlight was seeing this sneaky owl

Great to receive the shiny physical copy of the book that I contributed to! I think it's a very comprehensive volume, really useful for up-to-date overviews of different research topics. I'll be using several chapters in my undergraduate teaching from 2025 onwards (1).
