Hi Tracey - thank you! The base is Snowdonia slate, from a quarry just outside Blaenau Ffestiniog. I work with a local engineering shop when I need stand armatures, they are very good at shaping weird bits of steel to precise plans 😂

I create birds in stained glass, mostly as freestanding or wall sculptures, rarely as window panels. They may be celebrations, explanations, rants or tears but like the birds that inspire them, they are all beautiful dancers-with-light…
