People will say it’s edited. And they would be wrong.

Aidan wants me to tell you that his book, A Day with No Words, comes back out on November 4th. He would also like for you to get your copy today! He also says, “please.”

And he promises that the next time his mama goes on tour, he WILL be sleeping while she talks, per usual.

For some people, politics really is just a debate about ideas, because their safety, healthcare, marriage, or rights aren’t on the line. That’s a privilege. For others, politics is about whether they can live freely, afford to survive, or be treated equally.

Being an author is like 10% writing and 90% promotion.

T-minus 7 weeks until A Day with No Words is back in the wild!

You know I do not possess an “autistic-radar,” nor do I actually want one, however every single person I thought *could* be autistic…was just a darn Aquarius. 🤣🤣

So, I wrote this book, right?
And it’s a pretty awesome book.

Short read, about 600 words, 48 pages.
You could finish it in 8 minutes 48 seconds, even with time to show the pictures to the Littles.

Updated my book site. Got the first UK link! Which I am told also delivers to the Republic of Ireland!

Alright, A Day with No Words is on Preorder. Out November 11th.

I don't think I will ever get used to unexpectedly seeing my book in the wild. #kidlit #picturebooks #autism #AAC

If our systems weren't so tied to privilege and wealth as sources of power, perhaps we wouldn't be so "business as usual" after a major healthcare CEO is killed. People aren't heartless—they lacked the care and access these CEOs had, watching loved ones suffer and die from preventable conditions.

Traditional publishing is pouring my lifeblood into my writing, convincing a pub to publish it, not why the world needs this book, & then having one person tell me, "we're gonna pass."

I have to constantly tell myself that my work is good enough. I literally have to will myself to keep going.

Someone called my son a "Forever Boy." In her eyes, he would only grow in height, but not mind. She gave him a title, a fate she saw fit to name aloud.

My son will always be my baby, but I will not hold him small. Mind ya tongue. Dont get cussed out. Remain safe.

My son, the one who would rather be known by name first, has taught me so much about myself and autism, is incredibly creative. He draws, he paints, he sculpts(sp?), takes amazing photos, and so much more. I'm so very blessed to be his first fan.

Spawn patty #1 is 17.

Nonspeaking autistic learning to type to communicate.

It's a process. One hell of a journey. Many ups. Lots of downs. Don't know what we doing, we just doing it together. I bought some Naan, forgot I had it, asked him what he wanted to eat, he typed "n@@n".

That works, kid.

Is Paramount+ on here yet? We need to talk. What is the "plus" for? More connection issues? Additional streaming challenges? Just give me the regular one without the plus then, so I can make it through one episode of Equalizer without having to do 3 reboots and 6 mmmbops. TFuuuuuuuhhhhh

Yeah. I'm one of those "way before Thanksgiving" Christmas tree folks. And I love it.

My son, who was 11 at the time, told me he didn't want to grow up to be an adult anymore.

I asked him why.

His response: all y’all talk about is ibuprofen & “why this meat so high?”

And four years later, I have to admit, he wasn't wrong.

Why Zillow ain't got no comment section? I really need to drop a couple of, "ain't nobody payin' 500k for a home wit a single car garage across from a Kohl's," but nope. They ain't got one. Feel like this would be beneficial to both buyer and seller, but what do I know?

Taken by the 15 year old when we spent some time in NYC. The crowds did us in. And nicest ppl ever...when they ain't in their cars. Once they behind a wheel though, lawd. He really does take good photos. #photography #autism #nyc #addtoblacksky

Question: so if someone don't use the #blacksky tag, how do Blacksky know to put them in the blacksky feed?

I know, probably a weird question.

I like birds.
I liked one bird.
My feed thinks I would like more birds.
Scroll, bird.
Scroll, more birds.
Feed full of birds it thinks I like because I liked one bird because I do indeed like birds.
I like birds but I can scale back the like if it means I can view other things I like,

like words.

‘How to/can I change my vote...’ — a top search on Google.

That’s the joke.

Only it’s not funny. It’s a damn tragedy.
