Because now, just this moment, is all you have. It’s all any of us ever have. If we can stay present in the now, we maybe wouldnt get stuck in the things that have already occurred, or we anticipate occurring.

I’m fully prepared to recognize attraction to young individuals as some form of mental disorder. That doesn’t mean it’s acceptable or that those individuals shouldn’t be monitored very closely. My problem is the mentality that some sort of “age appropriate” switch is flipped when a person turns 18.

There is a misconception that zen is a religious practice, but I understand how you arrived there. I think good therapy starts with a reminder that the future and past do not exist. We only have now. Let’s give ourselves a break.
