It definitely has good parts and I'm still reading it because I feel like at some point things are going to start getting tied up and I want to see what the big picture looks like. It's just kind of a slog getting there

Starting out the main character appears to be in massive, massive denial regarding events of the first book. But I've been getting enough Gene Wolfe vibes that I wonder if there's going to be time travel shenanigans at some point
