How are these kind of joycons compared to the default?
Ishii and Kawazu deserve as much critical recognition as Sakaguchi and Horii. Both Ishii and Kawazu were important to the 1st few Final Fantasy(ies), especially FF1. Then they went and created the first additional pillars (Mana and SaGa) for Square. Not enough love is given to either of them.

Crystals and Moogles
There is so much identity tied to Final Fantasy, don't let anyone convince you FF has no identity or that its identity is dependent on "if turn-based or not", its about the summons, the airships, the dramatic story. But my favorite recurring elements are Moogles and Crystals 😌
