Small wins in all forms. A lot of moving parts atm. ⚙️🦊

Took a week off, more on that later. Stepping back into it - a lot of progress. Exponential progress compared to a few earlier issues in the mini sprints I have. 🛣️🗺️☑️

Sometimes, you just need to make what you want happen:

Tools to make the local AI experience even more enhanced.
Local models, Cloud optional. Giving Kitsune 🦊 some depth.

Now to go practice my prompts... they matter. 🙃

Day 12~14 on building a TeamSnap alternative

The last 3 days were not easy as I had almost no time to work on the app as I had to take care of my son who had HFMD. So, still proud to say that I'm still stuck on that same padding problem with keyboards...

Even though I try to keep up with most things AI, for personal projects I've gone all out @anthropic.com. It just feels like these guys have more fun than some of the others when I use their products.

And I like to prioritize fun over a lot of things. (when I can)

#44 PRO TIP:

🔐 Never trust user input.
Always validate and sanitize data on both client and server. Frontend validation is UX. Backend validation is security. You need both.

At first glance, #SwiftUI lacks a unified approach to navigation. Various solutions can achieve the desired effect, but they differ from one another. 🤔

Been thinking about moving our static site (tabba.so) to Astro or 11ty. currently just using vanilla JS and a css variable design system.

Requirements:
reusable page templates, good SEO and fast load.
planning to do more content (blog, articles, etc) to capture organic search

When I started, I quit my job, cashed out my 401K, and jumped into an idea with basically no market research or validation.

Probably not the smartest approach, and that idea totally sucked.

But there's something valuable in just jumping in and starting the damn thing.

GPT Breeze has been stuck at 1,000 users for a while (It seems like the Chrome Store doesn't update in real time, it only updates at certain fixed stat milestones)

But today we finally reached 2,000 🥳

Home Lab Overhaul - Part 17:
SSD cache has been live a few days now. Writes jumped from ~270 to ~400, but reads actually dropped from ~830 to ~740. Hit rates are low (9% read, 15% write), but day-to-day editing still feels snappier. Early days, but still a win.
