Since everyone's posting beautiful pictures, Crystal Lake in Oklahoma is breathtakingly beautiful. OKs where I grew up, really is heaven for children. We rented a farm and I was left to run wild, thrived for the first time. Fresh milk, eggs, garden. School was all grades with great teachers.

I miss them madly. My first rescue ferret was so jealous of my husband that he'd follow him into the shower, jump up and grab a love handle and hang off of him, follow him out, nipping at him. When I tried to stop him husband said no, he liked it. I said one day he'd get something else but never did

One year I bought my ferret an adorable Santa suit. He was so angry he ran and jumped into a laundry basket, burrowed in. I don't know how they got this jacket on. No sleeves must help. I finally got one with Santa hat by lots of treats. He didn't mind the Hamlet collar.

We found him starving in a dumpster. Husband's boss paid his vet bill of $100. Vet couldn't determine his age but we had him 30 years. In later years, despite our efforts, he was over 30 pounds. I had to help him on the couch. Just went in my closet and died suddenly.
