The DeArq journal issue 361 “Barajar el Canon / Shuffling the Canon” edited by @ingridquibtana, @fernandomartineznespral and yours truly, with contributions by @marcosalazarvalle @ruth_verde_zein @ivo_giroto won today the Publication Prize of the @bienalquito. Congrats to all @revistadearq.

Dear friends, I am very happy to share that my next book has a cover and a publication date of November 2024, as part of the University of Pittsburgh Press series on Culture, Politics, and the Built Environment.

Allow me to say that this is certainly my most ambitious book so far,

My chapter on abstraction as a colonizing tool is my best writing since “American Mirrors” (The Plan Journal, 2020).

This amazing book arrived in the mail today: The Routledge Companion to Decolonizing Art History, edited by Tatiana Flores, Florência San Martin and Charlene Villasenor Black. Very grateful for the editors invitation. Ahead we go with the decolonizing effort.
