A fantastic gala! The excellent selection of locos made the unpleasantly hot weather a lot more bearable. (37057 definitely stole the show for me!)

ex-DRS 37261 sitting very forlorne on a set of ex-314 bogies from that weird Hydrogen set. ex-WCR rust bucket (now spares donor) Class 37308 (in actuality it's 37214) looking considerably better for a fresh bit of paint. Possibly it's last before disposal? A very tired looking 37025 - apparently not far from returning to service! Just waiting for a set of wheels to be turned. The flame cut remnants of loco's cabs adorning the shed wall.

I really enjoy loco's that people wouldn't really associate with a logging/timber railway, like the 2-6-0's used in South/West Australia.

A really nice wee gala! First time back to Haverthwaite in a long time. Very chuffed to finally get back there, and to get some haulage behind 20214.

Didn’t like the centre box, so a slightly wonky gangway door it is! I think the brass windscreen surround has helped de-Lima it a bit too.

LSL Class 20132/20118 burbling away in Carlisle. The pair brought the tour in via the G&SW from Linlithgow. LSL D8096/D8107 catch the last of sun at Carlisle after returning with the Preston portion of the Seven Counties Rambler. LSL 37409 has just backed onto the SRPS’ 37403 and awaits to take the train home to Linlithgow via Newcastle. LSL 37409 and SRPS 3703 sit at the head of the train at Carlisle.

Has to be a Class 37, they’re the best all rounders for me. But especially the amount of noise they chuck out, it’s fantastic. They’ll be 65 this year and still on the national network!

Absolutely worth getting up at stupid o’clock for! Can’t beat a 37/4 in large logo. Even at idle they were rattling the canopies.

Tractors! Some shots of 37607 and 37884 both stabled at Carlisle this afternoon.
HNRC (or whatever they're called now) ex-DRS 37/6 37607 stabled at Carlisle, having worked 3Q15 2258 Mossend Down Yard Gbrf - Barassie Jn D.P.L. - Carlisle yesterday. A different angle of 37607, looking west. Europheonix 37/7 37884 'Cepheus' stabled at Carlisle. It had arrived a few hours ago from Derby, running as 0N09 0650 Derby R.T.C.(Network Rail) to Carlisle.
