Likewise, you don't HAVE to interpret something in a way that upsets or offends you if you don't want to. Art as a concept is allowed to be interpreted. It's not like the blueprints to a bridge, where if you interpret it differently the bridge collapses and people die. That's why art is cool.

Kinda wish people weren't so rude about people "interpreting episode 4 wrong." Like it was left open to interpretation for a reason. You're allowed to take away whatever speaks to you, and everyone else is allowed to take away whatever speaks to them. It's just a cartoon at the end of the day.

It doesn't have to be infused with transphobia to benefit Joanne. Any acceptance of approval of the franchise at this point is seen by her as acceptance and approval of her and her transphobia. She'll still make money off it. Leave it be, don't embolden bigots.
