This chart doesnt even make sense, one can easily look & see that our pop didnt grow at all the years the vacancy rate takes an absolute nose dive & on top of that they were even building housing those years.
Where did all these vacancies go? The units are empty but kept off market to inflate prices

Literally nobody I know here was paying as high as $950 even in 2015 much less 2010. You cannot find shit here for $1,350 today, I don't care what your trump-ass HUD link says. I'm not a left NIMBY, but current yimbyism is just more libertarian-abundance bullshit

Almost like there are problems which the market won't solve & should not be subjected to the market whims of millionaires. Maybe some of those things should be food, healthcare, & shelter. Vienna has 40% govowned housing which competes with the market, keeping rents anchored to physical reality.
