I cannot resist what is around the river bend, or over the horizon ahead of me. I can't resist the road's crooked finger beckoning me...or what your lips will taste like. I have to know.

Alone, feet shuffling sand and surf early morning and these words came to me...Most of my recent work was not written with any specific woman in mind...all women are gifts.

My home and heart is in the mountains of Virginia. This piece was written on a solo trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway from Floyd, VA to Charlottesville. "Virginia is for Lovers."

I am the dormant volcano.
Beneath my social layers churn
a cathexis of smoldering desire
—moving from brain to body to soul.
I am a being consumed, burning,
set for a heap of ashes.
