A lot of the "spicy" scenes in books are so cringe and over the top. I've largely stopped reading because I just cannot deal with "spice" being in EVERY book I try to read and the majority of it isn't even written well lmao. I just wanna read books as frequently as I used to 😭

This may be a hot take but you should not be picking up writing or art with the intent on fame or a quick buck. It honestly is giving the same energy as genAI bros with their "art". You should be creating things because you love doing it for yourself and sharing with others, even with a small reach.
