I'm pretty confident that at least in my social circles, language drift has occurred such that "beefcake" refers to a physique and "pinup" is gender-agnostic.

My coworkers tell me the company has been bought in this manner in the past, and subsequently sold, but I'm not as optimistic as they that the latest owners won't dismantle it for scrap.

For me the more pressing concern is that the company got bought out by a venture capital firm, to come into effect next year.

There's been a section on AI for the last many quarterly meetings at my job now, but it hasn't impacted my own work at all yet. Here's hoping the bubble pops before it does, and before my employer has bought in too catastrophically hard.

A pedal is essential for piano music in general, even pieces that don't have this particular technical difficulty. A lot of piano music assumes or explicitly calls for pedal to fill out the harmony.

I mostly don't do Patreon because I don't like recurring expenses, so when artists only offer commissions through Patreon, I end up just not considering them as an option.
