Pony Confidential by Christina Lynch is delightful. It’s funny and whimsical along with serious messaging about animal cruelty and the US criminal justice system. It just really worked for me. Plus, pony is the hero we all deserve.

For prompt 2.2 in the #OFMDReadingChallenge (and keeping up with the green covers) I have Key Lime Sky by Al Hess. I enjoyed the originality of the plot and everything was resolved well. I adored Denver, the MC, but cannot say the same for all the lead characters.

Happy for the care, but yesterday was also my birthday and vacation, so we had other plans. Anyway, call that friend for coffee, take the scenic day trip you’ve been thinking of, buy that silly thing you like. We’ll get back there, but sometimes things just unexpectedly suck for a while.
