While this is a pretty big simplification I have abt 7000 words rn sitting in a few academic journals inboxes rn explaining what the implications of this are and how this might be an example of assimilation within counter cultural movements - examples can include LULAC disregarding immigrants etc.

Most traditional counter arguments assert not that those with a disability should still be permitted to self govern or that whatever disability ascribed to the group doesn't deprive them of rights, but that this group is equal to the "able bodied"

Essentially, if we assume this unfit to self govern part comes from the assumption of not being intelligent in racist/sexist examples then on some level the dialogue is engaging in disability, fun fact the term moron and a few others come from the medical sphere and eugenic sciences -

With context, I work in the field of disability studies and essentially my upcoming work is focussing on what I think is a big problem in terms of political argumentation, that is an argument which goes like, "XYZ minority is inherently inferrior and therefore unfit to self govern" -
