I'm actually genuinely upset they didn't add a boss refight arena into The Thousand-Year Door's remake, because The Origami King actually did have one, and I'm a huge fan of M&L doing it.

Imagine if I made a fully soft-shaded work with a detailed background and everything, with all of the techniques and skills I have today.

--but otherwise drawn in a way that allows me to be omega lazy with things like bushes or trees. And, it works! It's easy, it fits because of the style and the world, and all that, but I still just...
Ugh, I wish I had the energy to put the kind of attention to detail into backgrounds I used to.

Then, there's the backgrounds. I don't think I've actually fully lined, put proper detail, shaded, and otherwise treated a background the same as the characters in it since last year, maybe even 2023. Nowadays I just do lineless backgrounds with minimal shading and still a fair amount of detail--

And that's fine, honestly, because I'm definitely getting better at it, AND it's much easier. But, I still worry about losing those soft shading skills.

That's genuinely insane timing. Actual fate stuff.
