My wife read a lot on the subject of phone addiction bc she couldn’t stop watching TikToks when she had important stuff to do. Scrolling has a similar effect to gambling to your brain. Your feed is a slot machine and you get little hits of serotonin when you get something good

It’s never ending, people have made this stuff their entire identities and these algorithms are happy to help them buy a tactical baby carrier. (That’s a real ad I got.)

Logged onto the ol’ Facebook account the other day. Every other post was an ad and every single ad was some far right shit. Spent 15 minutes blocking advertisers before I gave up and logged out

Kate’s is 🔥. Adding the other two to my list of places to go. Obon looks like a must try. I really like Kati Portland for Thai food and Off the Griddle for brunch/breakfast. Monster Smash is a vegan food truck at Belmont Station tap house and it’s kind of my hyper fixation right now

Hey, lmk if you ever come to the Portland area. I’ve got some incredible vegan recs up here

Lmao, I think van life and veganism attract a lot of the same kind of people. Ngl tho, doing mushrooms in Baja Mexico while living in a van had me feeling like the 5th member of The Beatles

Decided to just go full vegan bc the dairy industry and their treatment of animals is really bad

I lived in Mountain View for a long time. We moved into a van a couple years ago and recently got a place in Vancouver WA. Whenever we go back to the Bay Area we have to hit up Senior Sisig for their vegan crunch wraps. The Butcher’s Son in Berkeley is pretty fire too.

I like it a lot. Biggest reason I made the jump was bc I have gerd and anything fatty can be a major trigger. The biggest hurdle is going out to eat with other people. Most seem to think all we eat is side salads 😂

It just feels very on par with something AP and Mark Davis would do. Hopefully Telesco would table the idea

I always thought ham was mid but my mother in law did a ham INSTEAD of turkey one year and I thought my wife was gonna riot. “I didn’t drive 2hrs to eat fucking ham” lol. Anyways, we’re both vegan now

Ahh, good to know. Allowing PE firms into ownership feels unsettling. At least for now they can’t own controlling shares

Is this the first NFL ownership stake sold to private equity investors? I remember they just voted on that not too long ago

I don’t think the Browns can afford the cap hit on Watson but they might keep him and still draft a replacement. Hopefully, if we end up picking 3, Shedeur can pull an Eli Manning and refuse to play elsewhere. If that’s still what he wants

Luckily Tenn and Jax play each other twice. Hopefully they can at least split the series. The Giants and Browns have tougher schedules tho, might need to sacrifice some chickens to get in the top 2 or 3
November 19, 2024 at 11:16 PM
They’ve got the schedule to do it too. We probably need them to beat the Dolphins and/or the Cowboys. The Jags have a very soft schedule, including wk 16 vs the Raiders. The Titans play the Jags twice and the Colts. The Browns also have a tough schedule tho. It’s hard to imagine them getting any W’s

Ben, is Brock Bowers the prince that was promised?

Damn, I didn’t make the cut 😂
