Saying Sorry (Part 4/4) - Gator Days Characters August - Alligator - A soft spoken single father who works in IT. Fergus - Alligator - A grandpa who has been chewed up by the world but is doing his best. August's father. Panel 1 Fergus has stopped by with a gift for August and the two have been talking about some rough events from August's childhood. While a difficult conversation, it's been a healing moment for the both of them. August is feeling happy about how it went. August is holding the toy bear his father brought by. August: Thank you, Dad. This all means a lot to me. Fergus: Sorry I apologize so much. Panel 2 August puts the bear and reassures his dad that things are okay. He knows the apologies are coming from a sincere place. August: That's okay. You don't hide behind apologies. Panel 3 Fergus is feeling a little bashful, all this has him showing much more emotion than he is used to. He's trying hard not to cry. August is appreciative of his father's willingness to empathize and connect. August: There's still hurt. But I'm glad we're talking and working through it. Panel 4 August hugs Fergus. While Fergus might have made mistakes, August knows that his father loves him and wants to be the best dad he can be. August: You've worked hard to improve yourself. I'm proud of you, Dad. Fergus cries.

Saying Sorry (Part 1/4) - Gator Days Characters Fergus - Alligator - A grandpa who has been chewed up by the world but is doing his best. August's father. May - Alligator - A grandma who loves being a grandma. August's mother. Transcript Panel 1 Fergus and May are at the thrift store. Fergus is looking at a shelf with toys when he notices something familiar. It's a cowboy bear plush that's only $5 and missing an eye. It's leaning again a ball that's labelled "BALL 2" that's $30. It's the sequel to ball. There's also a puzzle that says "PUZZLE! 10,000 piece!" that's $3. Don't worry, there's not that many pieces. Eight are missing. Fergus: MAY! Look at this. Augie had a toy bear just like this when was little. Panel 2 Fergus holds up the bear to show May. He thoughts are on the childhood of his now adult son, August. They're at the popular thrift store "THRIFT 2 GO" where everything is either way 2 cheap or way 2 expensive. Fergus: He carried it everywhere. You think he still has it? May: Fergus, you don't remember? Panel 3 Fergus isn't sure what she's talking about. Probably not anything too important. Fergus: Remember what? May: Back when your sleep got bad. Panel 4 Fergus suddenly does remember. It's like remembering something from an awful dream. May: You were upset with the kids. You... Uh... Burned some of their things.
