coming to terms with grief the past two weeks, so I put it into words 💗
Where Love Once Rested Grief feels like love, with nowhere to go - a quiet reflection of the self. In the corners of the darkness, in the soft shade of shadows, beyond the door that once bathed you in light. Life does not come to a halt, even when everything around you feels as though it’s crumbling, collapsing. It moves. And you move with it. And when you must, you stop - and breathe. Until you can gather the pieces of the love that lingers. And then you realise: Grief does not merely feel like love. Grief is love - love with nowhere to go. Because what is grief, if not love persevering, persisting.
