Hampshire-born Ethel Caterham, née Collins, is 115 years old and the last surviving subject of King Edward VII and now the world's oldest person.

Here is a photo of Ethel holding the 1911 census - she’s listed as the two-year-old child.

Allied Officers held prisoner of war (Italy, North Africa, Crete campaigns) in Germany at Offizierslage 79 were liberated 80 yrs ago on 12 April 1945 by the American army. Located near Braunschweig it was nicknamed Brunswick. (Source:SSAFA)
